Iodine is easily vaporized and also exists in the ionized state in water.
Our copper sulfide bonded fibers bond rapidly with gaseous iodine.
Ion exchange fibers also have the ability to absorb ionized iodine in water.
Cesium is also easily ionized in water and is absorbed by ion exchange fibers.
We hope that it will be possible to use these functionally processed fibers in the decontamination of radioactive substances.
